By providing denser air to the turbo, the Banks Ram-Air system reduces the work required by the turbo compressor. The turbo can spin slower and make the same boost. This slower compressor speed also unloads the turbine, liberating horsepower otherwise lost on the exhaust stroke.

Compared to the rest, the Banks Ram-Air is the only intake able to feed enough air into our Monster-Ram Intake Elbow without acting as a throttle on the engine.
